dc.description.abstractLos objetivos de este artículo son conocer y analizar las brechas y los principales desafíos que enfrenta la Educación Técnico Profesional (ESTP) chilena en este siglo y a partir de ello proponer acciones y estrategias que aporten mejoras al actual sistema educativo Técnico Profesional (ETP).Un segundo objetivo es identificar diferentes aspectos del modelo de enseñanza Mapuche y de su sabiduría ancestral que puedan aportar a la ETP y relacionarlos con la actual ETP y proponer mejoras que permitan enfrentar los desafíos de Chile en esta materia. Para lograr dichos objetivos, el estudio se ha desarrollado en cuatro partes. Primero se realiza una descripción general del sistema educativo chileno y de la educación superior técnico profesional considerando, sus fortalezas, brechas y desafíos desde diferentes perspectivas. En segundo lugar, se analizan los principales conceptos que sustentan la cosmovisión del pueblo Mapuche, enfatizando el sistema de valores, el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje, las estrategias educativas e identificando los actores que cumplen el rol de profesor; en tercer lugar, se identifican aquellas prácticas educativas del pueblo mapuche que pudiesen contribuir y transferirse a la educación superior técnico profesional y finalmente, se relacionan los aspectos más relevantes del modelo educativo mapuche y se proponen mejoraras al actual sistema de la ESTP chilenaes
dc.description.abstractThe objectives of this article are to know and analyze the gaps and primary challenges faced by ChileanVocational Technical Education(ESTP) in this century and, based on this, propose actions and strategies that improve the current Vocational Technical Education (ETP) system. A second objective is to identify different aspects of the Mapuche teaching model and their ancestral wisdom that can contribute to the ETP, relate them to the current ETP, and propose improvements that allowus to face Chile's challenges. The study has been developed in four parts to achieve these objectives. First, a general description of the Chilean educational system and technical-professional higher education is made, consideringits strengths, gaps, and challenges from different perspectives. Secondly, the main concepts that support the worldview of the Mapuche people are analyzed, emphasizing the value system, the teaching-learning process, and educational strategies and identifying the actors who fulfillthe role of teacher. Thirdly, those educational practices of the Mapuche people that could contribute to and be transferred to technical-professional highereducationare identified, and finally, the most relevant aspects of the Mapuche educational model are related, and improvements to the current Chilean ESTP system are proposeden
